Job Overview

School of Motion is looking for a Full Time Production Assistant to help produce best in class motion design courses. 

The Production Assistant will report directly to the Course Manager / Director but needs to be a proactive self starter, as this is a mostly autonomous role in a fully remote company. You will be taking course content that has been previously created by our instructors, and making it production ready. 

The primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Setting up our courses as they are being produced
  • Writing copy for daily emails and content descriptions
  • Editing video, PDF. and podcast content
  • Submitting works for transcripts and double checking their accuracy
  • Accurately building the course in our application according to the course outline provided by the Course Manager

Software you will use in this position:

  • Premiere
  • Indesign
  • Screenflow
  • Audition

Bonus software skills (these won’t be used in your day to day):

  • After Effects
  • Cinema 4D
  • Photoshop/Illustrator

The best person for this role is a 'jack of all trades', is ridiculously organized, and has a healthy obsession with motion design. 

We’re ideally looking for someone with at least a couple of years of proven professional experience as a production assistant or project manager, but we embrace people with all sorts of backgrounds, let us know where you’re coming from in your cover letter. 

This is not a  design or animation role, you will be working primarily in production. However, if you have those skills you may get a chance to utilize them from time to time.
