Cavalry Kickstart

Learn to think procedurally and build flexible animation systems that would take hours to set up in After Effects.

We are excited to release Cavalry Kickstart, a foundational course taught by Greg Stewart — Lead Animator at BibleProject and one of the most systems-driven motion designers working in Cavalry today.

Cavalry is one of the most exciting tools to emerge in motion design in years. It's a purpose-built application for procedural 2D animation, and once you start thinking the way Cavalry thinks, you'll be creating mograph-style effects, dynamic text animations, and responsive templates that update in real time — with a fraction of the setup time you'd spend in After Effects. Greg has spent years developing scalable, system-driven workflows in Cavalry, and in this course he passes all of that knowledge directly to you.

Who is Cavalry Kickstart for?

Cavalry Kickstart is a 13-hour intermediate course for motion designers and animators who are ready to add powerful procedural 2D animation to their toolkit. Ideally, you'll have at least 2 years of motion design experience under your belt.

If you're newer to motion design, we recommend starting with After Effects Kickstart or Animation Bootcamp first.

What do I need?

You'll need a license of Cavalry — the free version is fine for completing the course, and Greg calls out any paid features and provides workarounds for free-tier users. Having access to Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is recommended, and Figma is also supported.

Please note: Cavalry Kickstart includes 4 projects and awards a verified credential upon completion of all modules and projects.

Cinema 4D Insider

If you're not optimizing your Cinema 4D workflow, you're leaving hours on the table every single week.
